How much does GoogleBETA owe you?
Google makes much of its money from ads that run alongside Internet search results. Wikipedia pages appear on Page 1 of Google 99 percent of searches. If you contributed somehow to Wikipedia, Google owes you something.
Question is : how much ?
If Wikipedia was not in the top of Googles’s results, Google’s utility would decline substantially. Given that almost 60% of clickthroughs are from the top three results, and Wikipedia is always one of those results, it’s fair to say that Google is the search engine for Wikipedia, and Wikipedia is Google’s (free) content provider.

It is the cooperatives that would, through their cooperative accumulation, fund the production of immaterial commons, because they would pay and reward the peer producers associated with them. In this way, peer production would move from a proto-mode of production, unable to perpetuate itself on its own outside capitalism, to a autonomous and real mode of production. It creates a counter-economy that can be the basis for reconstituting a ‘counter-hegemony’ with a for-benefit circulation of value.
